Dmitrij Jaskin ... lack of playing time is due to the rotation the Wolves have going to get all their players in.

The lack of ice time for Jaskin is troubling. He projects to be a top 6 winger in the NHL and needs a consistent challenge to progress. At this rate he’s more likely to stagnate than grow.

All of this is incorrect. Jaskin was injured in the third game of the season, Wolves home opener, and that is the reason he hasn't played since. There is no ice time issue (his low ATOI stat currently is from getting injured early in his 3rd game, tanks the average). And the rotation Wolves have going to get all their players in isn't related to Jaskin, that's because AHL rules say only 5 players classified as veterans (something 250 NHL or AHL games); so prior to the Porter call up there was a rotation for their 6 veterans, cutting into Porter's ice time there. Jaskin isn't classified as a veteran to be worried about that rotation.

At this point I definitely see how we got Shatty thrown in on the EJ trade. Stewy is way to inconsistent. I say we use him in a trade at the deadline to secure better goaltending. We have the depth at forward even with Paajarvi and Morrow injured.

yup this is the rumour why avs management got rid of him, all world talent but just becomes a ghost at times, plus there were articles he didnt train hard enough or like to party too much.

Great player when he wants to be.

The Stewy move should be interesting. On one hand, he hasn't really earned top line minutes. On the other hand, he has typically played his best hockey (especially in terms of being engaged and playing Hitch's 200 foot game) for the Blues when playing on a line with Backes. This could get him going or it could drag Backes and Steener down. Either way, it seems telling that they are constantly moving Stewy from line to line to "get him going." Why can't he do that on his own?

Completely spaced on Jaskin's injury. Post has been fixed. That's what I get for multitasking.

Stewy has ALWAYS been a super hot and cold player. Even when you traded for him. I don't see that ever changing.
